Structural Security
This facility has been proudly serving the community since November, 2012. The structure features two full storeys of functional and administrative space, as well as a single storey underground parking garage. The structure was framed utilizing structure steel, with open web steel joists providing the roof structure, bearing onto structural steel beams and columns, while cast-in-place concrete and foundation elements were utilized for the underground parking garage. Together, these components provide a functional and durable structural solution which meet the necessary security, fire rating, and serviceability criteria. The structural systems utilized also allow for superior sound control and low maintenance as well as ease and speed of construction.
We were honoured to be selected as Structural Consultants for the structural design, specification documents, cost estimates, review of shop drawings, and site supervision for the Edmonton Police Services, Southwest Division police station.
